April – The Berbers (in Los Alcázares)
You can enjoy one of the biggest medieval markets in Spain and see the Great Procession or the spectacular Berber Landing, a reconstruction in which Corsairs and Berbers invade the coastline of the Mar Menor, swords in hand, bringing an end to the peaceful lifestyle of the villagers of Los Alcázares. It will take you back in time to a century gone by, while reconstructing an age of bloodthirsty pirates.
July – Virgen del Carmen (in San Pedro del Pinatar)
The Virgen del Carmen festivities are held in high esteem by the fishermen in the area, who proudly celebrate their patron saint’s day by taking her image out in procession on the water of the Mar Menor.
September – Carthaginians and Romans (in Cartagena)
A festivity of international tourist interest, these festivities commemorate the historical events in the city of Cartagena during the second Punic War, during which Hannibal set off for Rome from Cartagena passing through the Alps with an army of 100,000 men and 38 elephants in the year 218 before Christ.
For ten days the city’s streets and plazas are filled with processions and theatrical performances reconstructing history. The arrival of the Sacred Fire, The Landing, Hannibal’s Wedding to Imilce, the Great Battle and the Roman Circus are just some of the performances.
October – Los Calderos (in Los Alcázares)
At sunrise, the town’s beaches are flooded with a festive and seafaring atmosphere, in which the smells of the sea air blend and merge with the mouth-watering aromas of the traditional rice dishes known as “calderos”.
Over a hundred “peñas” (associations) celebrate the day of its municipal autonomy, filling the beaches and cooking their “calderos”, a traditional dish of the Mar Menor, based on rice and fish, the town’s most popular food.

A magnificent adventure golf course covering 8,000 square meters, half of which consists of natural space, is full of surprises that will delight and entertain the whole family.

Disc Golf
Golf with a Frisbee-like disc, suitable for all ages, endless fun for families and friends, get in some practice and impress your friends and family.
One of Spain’s few disc golf courses is set in a wooded area, with “holes” of different lengths and levels of difficulty, where you can test your skill with the disc.
