Crevillente is an area of the Valencian Community Spain located in the province of Alicante, in the region of Vega Baja. It has 27,815 inhabitants (INE 2006). Located between the Hills of Crevillente and the Vega del Segura.

To the north Aspe and Hondón de las Nieves to the east Elche to the west Albatera, to the south, Catral, Dolores and Callosa de Segura. The area shares the Natural Park of the Hondo with Elche. According to the INE 2006 census, Crevillente has 27,815 residents, making it the 14th municipality of the province in terms of population. 8.95% of the population registered in 2005 was of foreign nationality, mainly Moroccan (1,244 census, 4.56% of the total of the municipality).

With the aim to encompass the local culture in the most appropriate way, the different administrations of the city council together with the council of culture have sought to encourage through various public policies culture. One of these directions are to encourage local talent in terms of culture. With scholarships and support, to encourage local people  enrich, and fill the city and country. In the same way, to achieve this, classes and workshops are offered with the aim of providing all the necessary knowledge to those who want to understand the variety of cultures.

The festivals are another area  of great importance and value for the area, as a consequence of a festivity tourism you can find that the most important festival for the locality is the feast of the holy angel of the guard that take place in the month of September and it is known that they have a origin in century XIX celebrating with great joy activities of all type that Ranging from religious to cultural and playful.

Similar to all of Spain, rice represents a great food option and one of the most basic and most versatile ingredients for the kitchen being that the locality is rice is very used for the creation of flavors. You can find one of the most representative dishes the paella made with rabbit and snails, likewise, is offered as star dish in winter time the rice in broth. The local restaurants offer a wide range of options to enjoy the most traditional flavors of the locality.

Regading tourism you will find two main areas of Crevillent there are two different options that are offered. Visiting the city involves visiting its streets and its neighborhoods full of traditions, art and culture, visiting its museums, visiting sites of interest or visiting the tourist eco route visiting the natural reserves where activities are carried out adventure hiking bicycles, motorcycles, there are many options.
